Empowerment Principles for Organizational Success LOCATION: Fewer resources, reduced workforce and an expectation to get the work done—a combination that requires a different type of commitment and mindset across the entire organization. In this one hour presentation, we explore keys to creating empowerment in the workplace. We will: Compare characteristics of outdated workplace thinking and the commitment of today’s empowered team members. Explore principles of empowerment and how they can drive positive change in your ever-changing organization. Develop a personal plan for enhancing your empowerment commitment in the workplace. About the presenter: Wialillian Howard Wialillian Howard is a 16-year veteran in the Organizational Development & Learning industry. She spent 10 years in the public sector as an internal learning & development consultant before retiring to jumpstart the growth of her then 11-year old part time business. She’s grown both a successful special events company, while continuing to share her expertise in the Organizational Development and Learning industry. Today, her special events interests extend to York Technical College where she serves as adjunct faculty for a 14-week Event Planners Certificate Program that she personally developed for aspiring industry entrepreneurs. Her passion for the Organizational Development & Learning side of her company continues to grow as she works with organizations in the midst of culture shifts and organizational change.
